Turkey is not only about hotels with all-inclusive programs. The country also has a huge cultural heritage attraction and an array of active tourism programs. We have combined all of the delights into one 50 km-hike along the western part of Turkey's famous hiking trail, the Lycian Way. On the way, we will pass gorgeous landscapes and ancient cities. By the start of April, the moderate temperature would be comfortable to hike in proper summer attire.
During the hike, we will visit the museum to view the ancient tombs of the Lycians, which were created in the 4th century BC. We will also have a boat trip to the sunken island of Kekova, which was partially submerged by an earthquake in the 2nd century AD. Also, Turkey has a very beautiful sky, and we will have a telescope to observe the night sky.
Thus, our trip to the picturesque places of the Turkish coast will be not only active but also comfortable and interesting. You will not find a similar hike anywhere else.

Briefly about the tour:
There is nothing but water, snacks, and phones in our backpacks. Our luggage will be transferred by car.
We stay in hotels, with 2 people in each room. It is possible to take a shower after the hike.

We meet in Antalya. Thickets to Turkey are usually sold at an affordable fare, around 50 euros one way.
We will hike approximately 10 kilometers every day. It is suitable for people of any fitness level.

We will enjoy breakfast and dinner in cafes. For lunch, we will take snacks and enjoy them right on the trail.
It will be about 22 degrees in the afternoon. It is comfortable for hiking and warm enough for swimming in the sea :)

Our itinerary on the map:
On the first day, we meet at the bus station in Antalya at 17:00 and take a regular bus to the city of Demre. You can fly to Antalya a few days earlier and walk around the city on your own. If you arrive on a Sunday morning and want to see the city before the start of the hike, you can leave your luggage at the hotel with the guide and go for a walk.
Day 1
This morning we will go to the museum to see the remains of the ancient city of Myra. After the museum, we will head to the trail to walk about 8 kilometers hike. Upon the completion of our hike, we will return to the hotel by car to have dinner and retire for the evening.
Day 2
In the morning, we will have a boat tour to the sunken city of Kekova, which was founded by the Lycians a couple of thousand years before our era. During the excursion, we will dive directly from the boat into the clearest water in a secluded bay. Don't forget to pack your swimming attire! In the afternoon, we will arrive by car at the village of Kapakli to start where we have left off yesterday.
Day 3
Today we will walk about 15 kilometers. Let's pass by the ancient cities of Apollonia and Aperlae. We will see many free-standing tombs of the ancient Lycians. We will return to our hotel by car.
Day 4
We will travel by car to the end point of yesterday to begin the "relaxing" downhill hike of 8 kilometers. Along the hike, we can appreciate the view and take plenty of photos including "selfies" from a high observation deck. Since the hotel is located not far from the Mediterranean, we can enjoy our free time and cool down by swimming in the sea. :)
Day 5
We will walk 11 kilometers and finish our route in the cozy Limanagzi Bay. From there, we will go by boat to the lively and vibrant city of Kas. We will check into a hotel before heading out for dinner. After dinner, we can take a leisurely evening stroll in the city.
Day 6
We'll have breakfast and go for a short walk around Kas. Between 10-11 am, we'll go to the bus station and take a regular bus to Antalya. The bus ride to Antalya typically takes 4 hours. If you plan to fly from Antalya in the afternoon, you should leave Kas around 8 a.m. And we can certainly help with that. If you would like to stay in Kas longer, it's also possible. This concludes our trip.

Day 4

Day 5
By car, we get to the point where yesterday we completed the route. We call it a "relax day" because we will go 8 kilometers downhill. We will climb to a very cool observation deck and take plenty of pictures. Our hotel is located not far from the sea. We can enjoy our free time by swimming :)

We will walk 11 kilometers and finish our route in a cozy bay. From there, we will go by boat to the very atmospheric city of Kas. We will check into a hotel, and then we will go to dinner and walk around the city in the evening.

Day 7
We have breakfast and go for a little walk around Kas. At 10-11 am, we go to the bus station and take a regular bus to Antalya. It takes 4 hours to get from Kas to Antalya. If you want to fly from Antalya in the afternoon, you should leave Kas around 8 a.m, we will help with that. Or vice versa, if you would like to stay in Kas longer, it is also possible. This concludes our trip.
